To love Jesus Christ, receive his love and to give him to everyone that we can. We will Pray effectively, Lead by example, Teach with clarity, and Worship in Spirit and Truth:
St Luke is a 2 Chronicles 5:14 Chuch, "Then the temple of the Lord was filled with the cloud, and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the temple of God." We are a house of Worship where the Glory of the Lord resides. A place of refreasher, rest, and spiritual growth. We are the people pursuing the presence of God and believing to see miricles, signs, and wonders. We are a dynamic, spirit-filled, multicultural church, impacting our community, our city and our Nation by extending the love (charity) of Christ, praying for the lost, leading as disciples, reaching the Truth of God's Word, and worshiping in Spirit and Truth.
From the Pastor's Heart:
To my St Luke Family,
I strongly believe our Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ, put us together for His Glory. My pastoral job is to allow the Spirit of the Good Shepherd to use me to love and lead His people at St Luke.
I hear the Good Shepherd telling us to love His Father with all of our hearts, with all of our minds, with all our souls.
I hear the Good Shepherd telling us to praise His Father, to reverence His Father, to accept the will of His Father, to yearn for the Word of His Father, to exalt the Blood of His Father's Son, and to rejoice in the blessings from His Father.
I hear the Good Shepherd telling us to worship His Father in Spirit and in Truth. I hear the Good Shepherd telling us that if He be lifted from the earth, He will draw all people to His church at St Luke. I hear the Good Shepherd telling us to go into the highways, and hedges, and compel people to come so His house might be filled.
I hear the Good Shepherd telling us to continue teaching Sunday School, Bible Study and Baptist Doctrinal Classes. I hear the Good Shepherd telling us to partner with Save the Youth Incorporated for His glory. I hear the Good Shepherd telling us to help people with resume writing and technology training. I hear the Good Shepherd telling us to create youth excitement by offering talent shows, poetry writing contests, speech presentation contests, and other fun activities. I hear the Good Shepherd telling us to help students by offering tutoring, mentoring, and health care tips. I hear the Good Shepherd telling us to build strong connections between the youth and the seniors in the North Alabama community.
